[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Men's T&F Wins Three Event Titles on CL Championship ...Published by
MARION, Ind. – Thursday was the first of two days of competition at the Crossroads League Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University. The first day of the championship featured seven event finals with the last 11 to be contested on Saturday. The Wildcat men won three Crossroads League championships and produced two more All-League performances. IWU is second place at the meet with 59 points while Bethel (Ind.) holds a slim lead at 59.5 points.
The 4x800-Meter Relay team won a tightly contested race in 7:37.96. The time is an NAIA A standard and was 0.82 seconds from setting a Crossroads League Championship meet record. The relay team was comprised of Austin Miller, Adrien Howard, Steven Ott, and Chad Ellens. Adam Fields won the 10,000-Meters with a time of 31:24.25. His time is also an NAIA B standard. Brennan Coil won the Discus championship with a throw of 52.47-meters/172-2 feet. The throw is an NAIA A standard for Coil.
Chris Maxon was runner-up in the 10,000-Meters in a time of 31:57.73. Brennan Coil captured a second place finish in the Shot Put. He finished with a mark of 18.23-meters/59-9.75 feet. His throw is an NAIA A standard.
