[Indoor Track & Field] Wildcats Find Success at Day 1 of NAIA Indoor T&F National ...Published by
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Indiana Wesleyan University qualified for three finals during the first day of competition at the 2019 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships. The championship meet picks up in earnest on Friday as the Wildcats will partake in seven different events.
SEMIS: 9:18.15, 1st of 19 – QUALIFIED FOR FINALS FINALS: Friday at 6:20 PM ET
SEMIS: 14:59.91, 2nd of 23 – QUALIFIED FOR FINALS FINALS: Saturday at 5:00 PM ET
SEMIS: 7:55.16, 11th of 14
SEMIS: 10:15.75, 6th of 13 – QUALIFIED FOR FINALS FINALS: Saturday at 5:40 PM ET
“It was a fun first day and I’m happy with how everyone competed. Three of the four events we competed in made finals and the one team that didn’t gained really valuable experience. They have a lot of potential so we are still excited to see them continue towards outdoor. The next two days of the meet are going to be very exciting.”
NEXT FOR THE WILDCATS Indiana Wesleyan is back at it in Brookings, South Dakota on Friday for Day 2 of the NAIA Indoor T&F National Championships. Chad Ellens (800), Landon Miller (3,000), Jesse Saxton (3,000), Abby Karnes (Pole Vault), Alex McFarland (60), Jessica Sprinkles (800), and the Women’s 4x8000-Relay are all in action for the Wildcats.
